There is light at the end of the lockdown tunnel!

As we edge closer to a return to football ‘as we know it‘, there seems to be an urgency to be ready for the return.

Grassroots is set to return on 29.03.21 and my hope is that players of all ages have found the motivation and focus to stay active, stay fit and keep practicing in some capacity, shape or form during these unprecedented times.


The impact on mental health and well being has been well documented with record numbers reporting that their mental health has been affected by the lockdown and Covid-19.


If you haven’t managed to stay as fit and active as you would have liked, there’s still time. Pick an activity you enjoy and get moving! Start slow, set realistic goals and increase things gradually to avoid injury.

Ball mastery sessions, circuits and combinations are a great way to improve fitness and ball control / manipulation and get those neuro-pathways firing as we sharpen those fine motor skills.
